1. Who we are

Data controller: Star Digital LLC, 7209 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707, USA. For any request about your data write to info@ai-rank.app.

2. What data we process

• Account: email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture; your preferred language.
• Business data you enter: website, type of business, service, city, market and languages, and any competitors you name.
• Orders and invoices: the email used for the purchase, the amount and status of the payment, the billing address and, if you give it, your VAT number, to calculate taxes and issue the invoice. Card data is handled only by Stripe: we do not see or keep it.
• Service results: the questions put to the artificial intelligence models, their answers and the analysis we draw from them about your business.
• Contact messages: the name, email and text you write to us from the form on the “About us” page, with an anonymous fingerprint of your network address used only to limit abuse.
• Waitlist: email and language, only if you sign up and confirm.
• Newsletter: email and language, only if you subscribe.
• Support chat: the messages you write and technical data about the visit, only if you accept cookies.
• Technical security data: request logs needed to prevent abuse.
• Site usage data (pages viewed, clicks, scrolling) and actions taken on the site (for example test started, request sent, purchase) used for analytics and campaigns: only if you accept cookies.

3. Why we process it and on what basis

• To provide the service you ask for, including payment and delivery of the report (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps).
• For security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
• To meet legal obligations, for example accounting and tax, including issuing invoices and calculating taxes.
• To improve the site with usage analytics and to measure advertising campaigns (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To tell you when monthly monitoring launches (consent with double confirmation).
• To email you tips and news about ai-rank, if you chose so when signing up (optional consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To subscribe you to the newsletter (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To answer you in the support chat (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

4. Who processes data for us

• We use providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Brevo (email and newsletter delivery), Google (sign-in with Google), Stripe (payments, tax calculation and invoices), Cloudflare (protection of forms against abuse), PostHog (analytics, only with consent) and Tawk.to (support chat, only with consent).
• To get the answers and the analysis we send OpenRouter and the artificial intelligence model providers the questions and the public information about your business (name, city, text of your website). We do not send them your account or your email.
• For the Meta pixel, only with consent, Star Digital LLC and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers for the collection and transmission of data on the site; Meta then processes the data on its own behalf, under its own privacy policy.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

• Star Digital LLC is based in the United States: the data you give us is processed in the United States and, through our providers, in other countries too. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, this is an international data transfer.
• As a safeguard for these transfers we use the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission (with the UK addendum), where the country or the provider is not covered by an adequacy decision.
• Only what is strictly necessary leaves our system: to the artificial intelligence providers, through OpenRouter, we send only the questions and the public information about your business, never your account or your email; your card data stays with Stripe.
• We do not ask for or collect data about the clients of your business, nor special categories of personal data.
• With your consent, Meta and Tawk.to may also process data in the United States and other countries, with the safeguards required by law.

6. How long we keep data

• Reports and analysis data: 36 months from delivery, then we delete or anonymise them.
• Account data: until you delete it.
• Order data: for as long as the law requires, for example accounting and tax.
• Waitlist: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact messages: for as long as needed to reply to you.
• Cookie choices and security logs: only as long as strictly necessary.
• Invoices and tax data: for as long as the law requires.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Support chat: for as long as needed to answer you.

7. Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your data and object to processing; you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@ai-rank.app. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority of your country.

8. Changes

If we change this notice we update the version and date below and, if needed, ask for your consent again.
