5 website changes that help AI describe you well

You do not need to rebuild your website. A few targeted changes are often enough for an AI assistant to understand who you are and describe you without errors. Here are the five we recommend most.

By the ai-rank team

1. Say right away who you help and where

In the first lines of the home page and the “about” page, write in one sentence your profession, your city and the type of customers. An assistant mostly reads the beginning of pages: if it has to infer it, it risks getting it wrong or choosing someone else.

2. One page per service

Avoid a single generic list. For each service write who it is for, how it works, what is needed to start, indicative prices and FAQs. These are the things a customer asks and an assistant tries to report.

3. The same data everywhere

Address, phone, hours and services must be the same on your website, Google profile, directories and profiles. An old address left in one directory is enough to make an assistant say something wrong about you.

4. Structured data

Add local-business structured data (schema.org) to your website: name, address, hours, contacts, area served. It is not magic, but it helps machines read precisely what you already write for people.

5. Visible, readable proof

Reviews, concrete cases, professional registration, certifications: put them in text pages, not only in images or PDFs. And check that your website does not block those who need to read it, for example with overly restrictive rules in the robots.txt file.

Then check the result. A change to your website does not alter the answers overnight, but you can measure over time whether you appear more often. The free test is a good starting point.
